Race for life 2024

Hi, I haven’t been active in this group for a long time. After the shock of being diagnosed with Essential thrombocythemia (ET) in 2020, life has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I am now in a very good place, thanks to the amazing staff at my local hospital. I have been taking hydroxy carbamide daily for the last couple of years and tolerate it well. It seems to be keeping the pesky platelet levels at an acceptable level :+1:
I have now been working at my local Tesco Extra for a year (this would not have been possible before treatment due to high levels of fatigue). Anyway I am joining some of my colleagues in doing the 5k race for life this July, Tesco are really supportive of cancer UK and even pay our entrance fee .
I’m not very good with technology but wondered if I can manage to get a link to my fundraising page on this forum, would it be okay if anybody would like to sponsor me. If it’s not allowed that’s okay, I also just wanted to share my positive story with the group
