I have known that I have Chronic myeloid leukaemia for 17 years. I started out taking 400 mg of Gleevec, then went to Imatinib which I get through the Canadian BC Cancer Agency. Over the years, I have reduced the Imatinib from 400 mg to 100 mg daily - with my hematologist’s blessing. In 2022, I was taking 100 mg one day and 200 mg the next day. With a new hemotologist, I reduced Imatinib to 100 mg daily. Now I read that the debilitating upper back pain that I am experiencing every day and the symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet may be related to cutting back on the medication. Is this true? … Writing from Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada. Carol3

Oh @Carol3 welcome from Canada.
This is a difficult one as we are such complex unique beings.
The question is best asked of your medical team who know your whole medical history and perhaps it might be completed unconnected conditions which need looking at separately.
Perhaps always bear in mind that that diagnosis, treatments and available drugs do vary in different countries.
Somebody might be able to share their experiences.
