Hi @anon06,
Hope you’re well today?
We believe that DKMS established World Blood Cancer Day in 2014. You can read more about it here- World Blood Cancer Day 2021 | DKMS & through world blood cancer webpage- Make your mark against blood cancer - World Blood Cancer Day.
Best Wishes, Lauran
So next year is the big 10!
@LauranBloodCancerUK
Yes very important, would be nice to think a national awareness celebration is possible for no10, though I understand it boils down to funding finding money etc and cost effectiveness.
“You know me”, I just want it blasted for 24hrs across mass media simutainoulsy with gun salutes canons flypasts & pyrotechnics & concert stage designed in logo.
ITS SO IMPORTANT FOR ALL HUMANITY
@Watkins9
Your very welcome, Im sure your students would be able to design some inspirational art works suitable for school or college displays, education is so important for awareness. Perhaps they could post on social media tagging @BloodCancerUK
World Blood Cancer Day is 28 May & schools and colleges could raise a lot of awareness through education and the arts. Visual Art, imagairy, Verbal Graphics, performing arts all about blood cancer awareness. Awareness could be spread to sporting events in schools and colleges.
On the subject of important dates, when was first Acute Myeloid Leukaemia day & how many have there been including this year @BloodCancerUK @LauranBloodCancerUK @TanyaBloodCancerUK
