Hello everyone,
I have been diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and I am suffering terribly with feeling sick. I have tried ginger biscuits but they aren’t helping. Any suggestions.
Thank you
Ann.

Hi @AnnR23 Perhaps it is worth you speaking to your medical professional or your specialist nurse if you have one, as they might be able to help.
Let them know if you are on any medication for other conditions, any supplements, or have any allergies.
Have you ever felt like this before?
I also seem to get asked about family histories a lot.
Please do let us know how you get on and take care as feeling sick is rotten…
Hi Ann,
I too try ginger biscuits to settle the stomach.
Other suggestions I have are peppermint tea, fennel teas and toast. Are you otherwise eating well?
Do speak with your haematology team or GP for advice.
Is your diagnosis new?
Best wishes
Helen
Hi @AnnR23, thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been feeling sick. Feeling sick can be such an awful symptom to deal with and I’m sorry you’re going through it.
Just in case it’s helpful at all, we have some information on dealing with sickness on our website- Sickness and vomiting | Blood Cancer UK. You may find it useful to look at the tips here, however we’d also encourage you to reach out to your team to talk about it, too. They can help you to determine what’s causing you to feel sick, talk you through tips, and prescribe you medication to help you if it’s indicated for you.
Take good care of yourself, Ann, and we are here for you if you need any support or wish to talk things over (0808 2080 888 or support@bloodcancer.org.uk).
Best wishes,
Tanya.
