Just joined the forum and thanks in advance for any responses.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) at the age of 47 which, from speaking to my Hematologist and reading various literature, is fairly “young” for the condition.
I’m on Active Monitoring and currently don’t have any symptoms.
I’ve started my journey into learning about Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and have read on a number of internet sites (can’t remember which ones) that the condition can often progress more quickly for individuals who are diagnosed when they are “younger”.
I’d be interested to hear anyone’s thoughts on this.
Hi @pryeliab a great big welcome to our supportive forum.
I was diagnosed at 53 yrs old, with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), 21 yrs ago, and I have always been on active monitoring, if that interests you.
If you haven’t checked it out the Blood Cancer UK website has a lot of information.
Look after and be very kind to yourself, there might be some unreliable and sometimes out of date information out there.
Please do keep posting as I look forward to hearing more about you.
