Coping with the recent changes and managing anxieties

Hi @MoMo, yes, the guidance doesn’t seem to make logical sense does it?
It must be so difficult when you are working.
I wonder if we are actually going to receive an NHS letter, I don’t know.
I have learnt that I sometimes have to be persistent with my medical team to get a response.
I think you just have to do all that we can, in our personal circumstances to keep ourselves safe and support each other on this forum.
Please keep letting us know what is going on for you.

Ha ha it’s nothing exciting. I decided as we went into shielding I would come out fitter than going in, 10,000 steps a day including stairs as a minimum requirement and became engaged with Joe Wicks’ programmes, two 10 minute slots a day of different types. I’ve also tried Pilates and yoga but couldn’t engage with it. I only have a patio area which didn’t extend my circuits very much but those with gardens could extend it outside. I run up the stairs and I also have radio going upstairs and downstairs. It did the trick and enabled returning to walking outside was quite easy though the fresh air made me tired. I also did a marathon inside when it was the London Marathon. I must add that the carpets are worse for wear but the routine has been able to switch back into and gives a focus to my day, a target to be met. On the days the fatigue gets me I do shorter bursts.

Wow, @Lababe, I am so, so impressed and it really shows what ‘you can do’ as opposed to saying ‘I can’t do because’.
As you say on fatigue days shorter bursts of exercise are in order.
The London Marathon is quite an achievement inside (or outside).
I am a pilates girl myself and I have dvd’s that I play on the TV, what I would say is that it is important to have a good grounding in pilates first to make sure that you are doing moves safely, I am also my biggest critic.
I live in a flat on the ground floor so I really need to so up and down steps.
I feel better when I am positive, energised and slightly fitter.
You are an inspiration, please let us know how you are getting on.
