Hopefully they get both sorted soon. I’m ok a bit ‘meh’ today. Been feeling like my body is made of lead!
It’s strange because I was told during recovery ‘only go to 80%’ but I don’t know what 80% is. I used to know - but it’s all different now and I don’t know where the bar is - so I don’t know if I’m over or under exercising

It’s really difficult isn’t it 
, everything has changed and we are left with this ‘new’ body to get used to and care for 
I was just talking to my daughter and likened life to being a vampire now, safer outside in the morning and evening and having to wear high factor sun creams now, everything has changed and have to think twice before planning or doing anything x are you sleeping ok? This heat is so draining so I would imagine any exercise would be draining, so I’m not bothering 
I’m staying in and being meh today also 
yesterday was bilbos 1st anniversary’s of losing him and today would have been dads 87th birthday, life has certainly changed in a year! I have the consultant on Thursday, so hopefully have a blood update, I did do a naughty and went shopping at 7am Saturday morning, 
masked up and it felt good, especially with Sunday/monday looming x I guess time will tell if that was a stupid decision x hope you aren’t meh for too long my lovely x what day are you on now? @Spangleystar
It’s a learning process @Spangleystar for sure and all about listening to your body day by day.

Hello everyone @here - I’ve been at a conference all last week and feel as though I’ve got a lot of catching up to do 
But I wanted to say how relateable your post about our ‘new’ bodies felt to me, @Byrnebaby. I actually kept a blog throughout my treatment, and one of the entries focused on this very feeling.

Just reading about the wildfires around Conwy!!! What the what?! Waiting to hear how my aunt and cousins are over by there. Please be careful in the smoke @Byrnebaby and don’t forget those N95 masks are helpful at times like this, I wear them outside when we have wildfires. Aren’t they horrible?!
I’m also sorry to read about those emotive anniversaries. I bet this year has swept past. Although I’d never suggest being “naughty”, getting out and about whilst masked up must have felt rather freeing, so perhaps try not to worry about its risks. Sometimes we need to take slight risks to see how much more we can achieve, right?
Oh @Duncan it’s been very smelly here today! Quite claustrophobic if I’m honest! Having to have windows closed and curtains drawn to keep the heat out, they’ve managed to put the fires out now, hope your aunt is ok? I’m not usually a rule breaker at all Duncan, but with the enormity of the 2 days that where looming, I thought it was a risk worth taking, I’ve been in the house all week as the heat is just too much for me, so a nice wander around at 7am was mentally good x yes not the best few days emotions wise x hope you are keeping ok lovely x
I well remember that sense of being stuck inside with it all too @Byrnebaby, claustrophobic indeed—there was one wildfire near us that made the sky orange which was terrifying! Definite close-the-curtains end-times a go-go!!! Really glad the ones nearer you are now out, time to feel relief I’d say 
My cousin replied saying she and my aunt are fine, thank goodness, although she could smell the fire overnight. Scary stuff and not so fun when the smell is an out of control wildfire rather than a campfire! I’m really glad you’re all out of danger now, thanks for asking.
Thanks for asking too about how I am. It feels difficult to share personal stuff that I’m still mulling over. I guess what I can say is that it’s complex being in the US considering how immigrants and others are having rights or lives taken, in war and at home. It just makes me very blue

I’m ok thanks @DuncanB got discharged from The Christie today and back to my local team, have an appointment with consultant tomorrow x gosh this heat is immense isntbit?

I’m still on a shared care arrangement where local team and transplant team see me on alternative 6 weeks.
Fortunately transplant team do all appointments by Video call at present.
We’re not getting the extreme heat you are dealing with here.

Ohh yes @DuncanB that’s perfect weather! Yes that’s great your care is shared but you aren’t having to travel, that can get very tiring
Still travelling down to Inverness once sometimes twice a month @Byrnebaby which is a 100 mile round trip.
However much better than the earlier stages of treatment where we were making that round trip about 11 days each month.
Real bonus is the video calls with the Transplant Unit team which is in Glasgow and a near 500 mile round trip.

I’m ok - got the green light to go back on HRT, so just the wait for GP appointment now. Hopefully that will sort the funk I’m in out xx
