Oh @Byrnebaby it is lovely to hear from you. I am doing OK, but the mosquitos are still running riot round here, however they do not seem to like rising to great heights so the flats above are safe or perhaps I am fulfilling their nightly dietary needs.
I often think about you. How are you doing? Look after and be very kind to yourself
Oh @Erica that sounds painful! Where are you in the country? We don’t seem to have mosquitoes but hubby has had more than his fair share of horsefly bites this year, I’m doing ok thank you
, impatient to get back to my walking and just life in general
happy the intense heat has gone, a lot more comfortable now x
Hi bb
I’m doing ok glad the heat isn’t as intense

I’m waiting for my protein to get to 10 it’s 8.5 and back to see consultant in August
Thinking of you all

Hi all
I’m good too thanks, elderly parents caring needs are still as mad as ever and today is my first official day on Nanny duties as my daughter has gone in to work for the first time since having our first grandson in December. I will be having him on Fridays and and a bit of Thursday every week ![]()
She doesn’t like to share his face on line so I’ve edited it but he is just adorable:)
![IMG_9505|mmmmmm://nnjWZwb9xTpe2gxmvXqVBljYpFW.jpeg)
Healthwise doing ok not heard about my last biopsy so can only assume all good news
Glad you all seem ok
@Jules Congratulations, Nanny @Jules enjoy every minute as babies grow so quickly and look after yourself and I don’t know how but try not to be pulled in all directions with your elderly parents vital needs as well.
Thanks for the lovely piccies.
Hi @Byrnebaby
Nice to see you back posting on the forum.
Hope that you are getting stronger and feeling better as each day of your recovery progresses.
I’m doing well at present and just enjoying the simple things in life.
Take care ![]()
Hey my lovely @Byrnebaby, I’m doing all I can to keep my stress levels down as my eldest got caught vaping at school, and has admitted it’s been going on for a while, even at home in his room
- it knocked me sideways, he’s always been so sensible. He’s pushing back on all sanctions and stomping around the place and so we have a fairly turbulent start to the summer holidays ![]()
GP next week, I want my magic HRT patches back - that will help.
You ok? Xxx
Nice to see you post again. Sorry to read that having to deal with stress.
Not good that eldest vaping and hopefully just a phase going through. I see quite a few kids on school break vaping so perhaps just the latest thing
Take care
Aww hello there @Byrnebaby, so lovely to hear how you are, plus all this news from others too, family-related or otherwise. Glad to read that the weather is more comfy over by there ![]()
I know what you mean about feeling impatient to get back to things, and maybe that could be a sign of how things are settling down for you? Hopefully you’ll get on those beautiful trails again soon. When you do, I’d love to see any photos you’d like to share!
Really glad to hear how you are too @Spangleystar and oh my your eldest!!! How likely is it that he’s acting out worries about his dear mum being poorly? I’m sorry it’s stressing you out, very understandably so. Please look after yourself and maybe delegate out some of that stress and sanctioning!
And thanks for asking @Byrnebaby, I’m feeling less blue than when we last posted. Keeping busy helps. If my energy lasts into tomorrow evening then we’ll be having dinner with a friend over from France in an open-air restaurant that is also a cinema! Reviews to follow

Oh @jules Even the back of his head makes me let out a little squeal- how lovely to have this time with him
I agree with your daughter on digital imagery, wish my family had respected my wishes - 14 years ago my son was in a national newspaper both print and online - I was fuming. Long story so won’t go into it, (suffice to say it wasn’t crime related
) but I had no power to get it removed as the image had been given by a family member xx
Yep it’s definitely the thing @DuncanB. I get it he was trying to fit in and as a 15 year old you think you’re both grown and indestructible
xx
