Yes, as @Nichola75 says it sounds a good plan to contact your blood team or 111 that cough sounds really nasty.
Be kind to yourself and let us know how you get on

Well today ive no voice, but that annoying cough has eased and not keeping me up at night. The antibiotics for the leg infection are doing their job, the redness and pain have lessened, im starting to believe i might actually get on that plane to Cyprus on saturday. Thanks for your concern.

Hi, yes barring any last minute disasters we are on the flight tomorrow. Antibiotics seem to have sorted the leg infection, that horrible covid cough is almost completely away and im so looking forward to this break. Thanks a lot.

Trip to Cyprus was great and relaxing. Had appointment to have a venesection done today but last blood test in March showed reading down to 44 so they decided not to do it, however platelett level consistently high so Hydroxy meds now doubled mon -fri an reduced over weekend so lets see how this pans out.

Im half way through the 6 weeks on the new med levels and touch wood have not seen any side effects. I do have a query though, i was diagnosed with CKD about 10 years ago, no mention of this has been made during or since the start of my treatment for ET and wonder if the hospital would know about the CKD diagnosis and whether that knowledge would change my current treatment.
