How am I supposed to feel

Hi all

Well yes we are and again this weekend we were off out to play football. Poor little man needed it he’s not.coping too well with us (I say us dave) trying to decorate and pack although I am helping with the packing… We’re going to look at a house tomorrow it looks good on the website and they’re telling us nothing has changed… So fingers crossed if all goes well I may have some good news tomorrow :blush:
I am absolutely shattered tonight and totally in pain littlun is getting the hang of it he says to me now Ellen am I tiring you out :joy::joy: totally but if you want to stay out we will… We were out so long yesterday daddy came looking for us :joy::joy:
So packing tonight for me then some rest… Fingers crossed we could be on the move and it could a new house for Christmas changes our plans totally and no trip to Wales this year but heyho and on another note after dragging my heels over it all I worked out what jot was all about I’ve never in my 46 years of life moved house with anyone other than my boys. I’ve moved in with someone but not with them so this is a first for me so after a good talking to from my and lots of reassurance from both mum and dave alls good in my world again and I’m excited about moving for once in my life :rofl: and Christmas in a new home hopefully :christmas_tree::house_with_garden:
Hope everyone is doing well ill keep you posted about tomorrow ooh and I’ve got my covid booster Tuesday. My surgery contacted me so I went with them and cancelled the other appointment I had

Hi @Ells Littlun will make a Ronaldo out you yet.
Good luck with the house viewing and don’t forget the website will make it look at it’s best.
I remember when we moved many moons ago there was a picture of every room in the house on the website except one, yes, you guessed it our son’s bedroom !!!
You need some of Santa’s helpers to help with the packing, although they might be a little busy at the moment.
Please let us know how the house viewing and Covid booster go, a very different week for you.

Hi all

He’s certainly trying to do that he had me can’t saying running but what ever it is I do to get from A to B and the little monkey who decided he wanted to take his buggy would climb in and out of it throw or kick the ball and Id have to get it :joy::joy::joy::soccer:
Oh yes it certainly did that alright… Well it wasn’t too bad we were told to look passed what we could see… The landlord is recarpeting throughout when the Tennant leaves this week… We have decided to take it, it is a lovely house smaller in some respects but has the advantage of a garage and bigger rear garden so it’s swings and roundabouts… We’re just waiting to hear if we’ve got it nerve wracking or what and we know there shouldn’t be an issue all the paperwork and references are in…
Omg they came to photograph this house yesterday to put on the market it’ll be interesting to see how they’ve made it look good with all our boxes everywhere :joy::joy::joy:
Oh no I can imagine it would of been like that in this house if my son still lived with us…
Ooh now that would be good i wonder if he could spare some at this time of the year I could do with some help… The pair of us are full of cold and my chest has decided to misbehave… I said to Dave this evening if its not better in a couple of days then I’ll go to our 8-8 no point in trying to get a doctors appointment they’ll just say we’ll it’s side effects from your booster which yes it could be but when you wake at 2 am and feel like the air has been sucked out of your lungs and you’re now struggling you know its a chest infection… I know a cold I cant stop eating :joy::joy::joy: never a dull moment in our house that’s for sure… My booster went OK my arm is killing me… The cold is just a cold I’m sure if its I’ve been out so much with littlun he was full of cold at the weekend and we’ve just both picked it up poor dave is on the sofa I’m upstairs we’re trying not to make each other worse… :joy::joy:Plus trying to carry on…
Happy Wednesday everyone :smiley::smiley::smiley::tada::hugs:

Hi @Ells we certainly know the nerve wracking waiting with blood cancer and other conditions, always out of our control awaiting others and test results.
The house sounds really positive.
Fingers and toes crossed for you.
Yes, it sounds a good idea to seek medical advice about your chest if it is misbehaving and it might be a chest infection.
I hope you and Dave are looking after yourselves, you must also be exhausted with everything you have going on.
Awaiting your next installment.

Hi both

Well the update is no sooner had my chest decided to misbehave its now much better… Still not right but so much better than it was a couple of days ago…
We’re off to see the landlord tomorrow as he wants to give us the once over before we get the go ahead… We think it’s because there was issues with the last Tennant… We did read between the lines when we looked around the house and was also told the house is being carpeted top to bottom with the excuse it’s how the landlord is he wants to give it a fresh look. We could clearly see they were filthy and needed a really good clean tbh… Fingers crossed for tomorrow and we may have a house :grin::grin:
Packing is occurring slowly trying hard to keep going while full of cold dave got is worse I’m usually the one who has it for weeks on end he still sounds terrible and trying to keep working through but house things have just stopped for a few days for him…
So to cheer myself up I now have Christmas nails as mum treated me to a few bits that I wanted but could afford to get until next week :grin::grin:
Happy Friday which it is for me daves on his way home with a Chinese :rofl::rofl:
:tada::tada:

Glad you are on the road to recovery, I hope Dave will be close behind.
Let us know how you get on tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Christmas nails sound the perfect treat to me.
Enjoy your Chinese

Fingers crossed it all goes ok X

I know exactly how you feel @Ells. I had to move house a few weeks after coming out of hospital from my stem cell transplant. Having to first look for somewhere to live, then pack everything, then organise people to help the move as I wasn’t strong enough. Hope it goes well.

Hi all

It went well this morning. The landlord was lovely… It seemed very positive… Fingers crossed he says yes and we find out on Monday for definite…
My nails have cheered me up…
I’m not feeling 100% @Franko but I never do I’m just pushing through… I really feel for you having to move straight after stem cell transplant…
We’re cracking on with packing this weekend as we don’t have littlun poor dave is painting aswell… I’m starting to find it really stressful even though I’m trying to stay calm… As my tummy plays up alot when I’m stressed which it’s starting to the last few days… I feel OK but clearly I’m not… Dave is still full of cold but improving slowly… Sleeping it off seems to be the way with us as we’re sleeping longer at night which is unusual for both of us…
I really appreciate the support you’re giving me at this time… And just as a break from all of this my haemotolgy appointment is on Tuesday so I get to find out what’s going on there too and if he wants to make any changes… So fingers crossed I’m still in the normal range as my bloods had risen a little last time…

Oh @Ells I am so glad the landlord way lovely.
OK fingers will keep crossed till Monday for you and Dave.
I am so glad your nails have cheered you up, not easy to do with your fingers crossed.
Subconsciously if you are anything like me I bet your stress levels are also up with your haematology appointment due on Tuesday.
I know this is a littlun free weekend which means that you want to get on but be kind to yourselves and spoil yourselves.

Hi @Erica

We’ve not heard about the house yet. But we’re still packing slowly.
Stress levels are definitely there but I’m trying to keep them under control…
It’s been a bit of both over the weekend. We got alot done but still rested alot too… Managed to get a couple of good night sleeps for a change…
My nails have definitely cheered me up. I’m not liking this waiting game… I’ll be glad when we know one way or another it’ll be a weight hopefully off my shoulders… I don’t fancy having to look for another house…
We have people coming tonight to look at this one and on Thursday so now it’s only a matter of time before she gives us our notice we really want to be the ones who say to her we’re going…
Anyho some good news I have spoken to my haemotolgist this morning and my blood levels are good he said perfect there was no other way to describe them I think he said 265… So he’s keeping me on the same level of meds as its working well. My calcium levels have come down so it was what we were thinking and I was just a bit dehydrated… I said I am making sure I drink more… I didn’t tell him about what I was drinking though :rofl::rofl::clinking_glasses::clinking_glasses:… I even asked about changing my address when we do move that’s simple enough just call the secretary and she’ll do it… And one last thing the pneumonia jab I did forget to ask about it but I called back a d aparently he wrote to my doctor on 16th and told them he feels I dont need one and it would be a discussion between me and them to decided and they could get more information from another source which I can’t remember where now… And guess what I’ve not heard a thing from the doctors shock horror… I guess I’ll fill out the online form and asked for an appointment with the amount of things I need to speak to them about it’ll take up the whole morning as you can’t get an appointment for love nor money and all I was told yesterday was its a nationwide problem not just at that surgery even though they’ve taken on more doctors nurses reception staff etc… It now takes well over an hour to get through to be told no appointments left… Try again tomorrow… It is a joke really… Trouble is its not urgent so who knows when I’ll get to speak with a doctor…
Anyways happy Tuesday everyone hope you’re all well and had a great weekend :bouquet::bouquet:

Hi @Ells, your talk with the haematologist is great news.
It our secret what you are drinking,
It sounds as if your surgery is running on the same lines as mine.
Stay safe and celebrate when you get good news.

Hi @Erica

Good news we got the house :joy::joy::grin::grin::grin::grin: bad news we’re moving on 17th as the landlord is recarpeting and replacing the boiler before we move in… I’m not going to complain it the first landlord we’ve both hand who’s invested in the property. He told us he likes to do at least 1 thing to the house per year. This time it’s the carpets and boiler as the last tennant moved in before the carpets got done… But they don’t need doing only a good clean… Boiler doesn’t need replacing either he’s just upgrading to a more modern green one… We’re quite impressed with him tbh… He’s got his head screwed on… Invest in the property and when he wants to sell he’ll make a mint…
However good news is that weight has been lifted and I can concentrate on packing and moving…
Moving on 17th, going to mums on 19th as my sister will be there so surprise sis, staying for a couple of days so I can see my son and coming back with mum for Christmas :rofl: so happy

Happy Tuesday again :tada::tada::tada::tada::tada::bouquet::bouquet:

That’s brilliant news @Ells, thank goodness I can uncross my fingers and toes now.
Yes, perhaps the timing could be a lot better, but you cannot have everything.
The landlord does seem to have his head screwed on.
You need an adapted advent calendar with a countdown to the 17th.
I will leave you to your packing now, take it steady and look after yourselves…

Hi @Erica & @Nichola75

Thank you so much… I am quite excited now where as before I was apprehensive about everything… Dave is still scared I’m going to pack him in a box if he stays still for too long :joy::joy::joy:
The packing has stalled for a few days I’ve not been well daves been in the office changing companies and we’ve had people looking at this house… So it’s not gone as planned :joy::joy::joy:… And now it’s the weekend and we got daves littlun poor little dude isn’t going to know what to make of it all… His room is full of packed boxes I’m in my boys old room daves sleeping downstairs as we’re still not over these colds either our room is pretty much empty of things as I’ve packed as much as I can… He’s not going to want to be in the house much but we are taking him to a Christmas craft fayre which he does love Christmas too especially if santa is there :joy::joy::joy:
I most definitely do need an adaptive advent calender dave did buy me 2 this year I could adapt 1 of them I’m sure he won’t mind :joy::joy::joy:
Oh i think it’s going to be heaven compared to this place and where I’ve lived before on my own… Having a landlord who cares about his property is great he’s allowing dave to move the garden bits over before he gets the carpets done as dave asked if he could to save trampling dirt on the new carpets…
It also helps us out alot. Plus he’s going to try and do it with littlun so he gets to see the house a little bit he won’t see much of it as there’s 2 ways to get in and dave will go down side of the garage straight through to garden but he’s will get to see the garden… It so good to be able to do that as in the bad weather you can go in that way take of shoes and go straight into the kitchen and put kettle on :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy: all secured there’s going to be keys galore :joy::joy::joy::joy:
Anyho I’ve rambled enough for now happy Friday all and happy weekend hope everyone is doing good :blush::blush::blush::blush: :bouquet::bouquet::bouquet:

My son moved just before Easter 2 1/2 yrs ago and it was boiling hot and we had flasks of drinks to keep us going but our chocolate biccies all melted. However it was a brilliant time to actually meet neighbours. However I appreciate it is very different in the grey, cold weather.
Has anyone else moved so close to any bank holidays?

Hi @Erica

Omg I think I’d rather move in the winter… I couldn’t cope if my chocolate…
So aparently I came in here and started replying and must of got distracted or had to do something but just never came back to it as my med head as me and my mate like to call it made me forget what I was doing doing… I’ve just come on here to see the above above moving… I still think melted chocolate just isn’t right…
Well since we last spoke more packing has been done of course or we’d be in toirble right now :joy::joy: Ive wrapped my Christmas presents and in the process hurt my back by sitting I. 1 position for so long doing it… But they’re done ready and boxed… Labelled so I know what’s going where… Daves out getting me the last few bits I need to wrap…
I had a moment and have ordered moving card with the wrong postcode on… I’m so clever something just had to go wrong for me… My stress levels are through the roof atm I’m not coping with anything that is going wrong it’s not been a good week for my plans I’ve had to change them so many times… I wake up I make plans I go get my coffee and by the time I’m back up to take my meds my plans have changed that silly spanner keeps getting thrown into it and I’m a little fed up.
. I will be glad when this is all overovong day can’t come soon enough… Roll on Friday on the bright side I have been wearing my Christmas jumpers and have trwated myself to nail things to cheer myself up :nail_care::nail_care: now I have more polish and glitter than I know what to do with but in the new year I will crack on with my courses and then start doing more of them… I do plan on doing a nail art one so I will be getting the bits for that at some point… But it’ll be Christmas nails this week as I’ve got more stuff to do them it’ll be our 3rd set of them…
Happy Sunday everyone ill make sure I post this now :joy::joy::joy::joy: :bouquet:

Wow, @Ells I think you are doing so brilliantly.
I think moving and Christmas are 2 of the most stressful things emotionally, physically and practically. My med head would definitely be in a constant state of confusion.
We are here if you want to have a chat or tell what’s going on, but you will be moving then going away, so looking after yourself.
What a week, which box goes where I ask myself???
I like your new years resolutions to keep going with your nail training and practice.
It sounds as if you really have a flair for it, it is definitely a skill and you enjoy it so much, what more could a girl want.
We will be thinking of you, Dave and of course littlun over this hectic, yet exciting time for you.
Be kind to yourselves.
