Dear Ells, I have been following your journey and am full of admiration how you have coped with your ups and downs. I just wanted to wish you much happiness in your new home.

Gosh, so much going on at such a busy time! I think you are doing so well - Christmas presents wrapped already, that’s an achievement in itself. I’m doing mine this weekend :woman_facepalming:
I think you’re allowed to be a bit fed up but I love that you are still wearing your Christmas jumpers and getting in the spirit.
Take care off you X

Hi @Erica @GrandmaJo @Nichola75

Yep that is me atm totally confused and constantly tripping up boxes which is daft as I put them there :joy::joy: I’ve downed tools for the day as another house viewing is happening soon poor dave forgot to tell me so I’m just getting ready to disappear for an hour while it takes place… My health isn’t the best atm but I’m trying hard not to stress as that’s not helping me just trying to focus on the positives of all of this which is hard to see when all I can see is boxes :joy::joy:
I wouldn’t say flair but I’m certainly improving and I am really enjoying it so I’d like to carryon and see what I can do while saving myself pennies not going to the salon… Littlun certainly kept me going over the weekend he was my happy little helper can we do another box Ellen it’s all I heard… He was chief tape cutter and newspaper passer such a good lad he was… I am really excited first time ever about moving but will be so glad when Friday is over and done with. :joy::joy::joy:
Thank you so much @GrandmaJo I’m not really sure how I’m doing it… I think I’m going to sleep for days as soon as I get the chance… I’ve got a sign somewhere that says do not disturb it’ll be going on the door and that’ll be it for me first opportunity I get :joy::joy::joy:
I’ve had to be super organised which is highly unusual for me I think it’s why I’m forgetting stuff and doing daft things like packing my address book so I’m having to ask mine and daves mum for addresses just to send christmas cards :joy::joy::christmas_tree::roll_eyes: I’ve got a few more presents to wrap as I sent dave on a mission at the weekend and he got the rest of what I needed… I’m all done I don’t have to worry about that side of things… I got a feeling dave will be asking me to wrap his presents for him next :joy::joy::joy::joy:
I will try hard to take care I did do my nails last night we both took the night off from doing things so I grabbed the chance to make them look nice for Christmas as I am running out of time and tomorrow is hair dresser day so while it’s lovely to have it done I could do with those couple of hours to be packing but I’ll have pretty hair again with no grey showing :joy::joy::joy:
Happy whatever the day of the week we’re on I’ve really no idea anymore :joy::joy::tada::confetti_ball::christmas_tree:
Thank you all so much for your support it is muchly appreciated :hugs::relaxed: xx

Well @Ells I do love your posts, I bet you are totally confused and constantly tripping over boxes, you did not mention whether you remember what is in each box or not.
I think the harder I try not to stress the more I stress, I have to just accept (somehow) that it is a stressful situation and even Christmas will be over in two weeks.
Littlun sounds as if he really is so good being such a happy little Santa’s helper. Having a tape cutter and newspaper passer is invaluable and I bet that he is really feeling part of the move.
Perhaps the positives are that this is your first move together and that you are happy with the house that you are moving to.
Yes, you will probably sleep for ages after you are moved.
Enjoy your time in the hairdressers it will probably just give you that boost you need.
I am sure that we will all be thinking of you on Friday and the only thing you need to unpack is the kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, milk and luxury biccies.
Don’t forget Christmas dinner is just a Sunday roast with a bigger bird !!!

Hi @Erica

So so confused totally told my hairdresser yesterday to do what she likes :joy::joy:luckily she knows me well enough as I’ve been going to her for the last 5 years…
Dave moves boxes I fill gap with more boxes :joy::joy::joy:
Omg totally you get it dave just doesn’t understand why I’m so stressed. All he says is do what I’m asking of you and leave all the worrying to me. Last night I’m trying to write Christmas card for his family and he comes in can you do pack my case for he now… I’ll bring it in to you and the clothes then moans as I’m not quick enough as I’m giving out our new address to his mum and my sons address to her then wants me to do something else gets back to the cards give them to him to post 2 hours after I started them… Ffs it was about 10 cards if that… Finally finish sorting presents the money side of it and realise I haven’t written cards for dave dead wife’s family so again I’m having to find out addresses as this is the first year I’ve dealt eith that side of thing for dave then he tells me out old landlady is being awkward over something she said we didn’t have to do then backtracked when she realised the house isn’t selling and said we’d lose our deposit if we don’t do it and he wonders why I’m stressed and I get it in the neck because I’ve been smoking again… Told him to take his anger out on her not me :joy::joy::joy:…totally fed up with her…
Of it wasn’t for little man I wouldn’t of got any packing done over the weekend hes been soo good he’s struggling to cope as he can’t process things well his autism and adhd doesn’t allow it it’s why he wants to go out alot we’ve been telling him we’re not leaving him being I’ve bought him a new door sign for his bedroom which will go in his Christmas box which he’ll get Saturday
Omg yes that’s the first thing going to the house Friday the kettle we’ll be packing that box up first thing Friday and unpacking it as soon as we got the keys :joy::joy::joy:me and my coffee dave and his tea kettle is always hot in our house… Think we’ll be getting though alot of milk on Friday… The local shops are near by so we can always do a biccie run we’re quite luck too takeaway heaven there too Only 2 days to go
… Can’t wait albeit can’t be bothered today need to find some energy to do these last few bits in this bedroom so dave can take part this bedroom furniture later then all that’s left is the last few bit in bathroom and kitchen. And omg it’s the first time I actually think we’re going to make it :joy::joy::joy::joy:
Absolutely daves in charge of that and I’ve been told it’s in my sons freezer and at this point in time apart from cupboard food it’s pretty much all we have in frozen stuff, :joy::joy::joy:
Happy days… Hope everyone is doing good…Happy whatever day we’re on I’ve still no idea at this point in time it’s dates… And looking forward to being able to stop at some point… :joy::joy::joy::blush::blush::blush::tada::bouquet:

Perhaps a rant (if it was ???) is what you needed to do with us as opposed to Dave or others.
I look at it as releasing the valve in the pressure cooker, which is good for me health wise as opposed to internalising it.
I also like to look at it as in so many days or hours you will be in your new home.
It is my cancerversary tomorrow 18 yrs, I shall be reflective but I shall celebrate with, guess what, hot chocolate !!!
Be kind to yourselves, not long now.

I bet you can’t wait until you are actually in!

Oh @Ells I feel that I have been on this moving saga with you.
Just sort yourself out health wise, practically and emotionally.
Every time I have moved I get this sinking feeling wondering if I have done the right thing and I always have.
Been thinking about you all today, it must be really, really hard work.
Time for all of you to just be kind to yourselves.

So it’s been just over 12 hours since I got woken up this morning… We’re still going. We’ll 2 of them are… I’ve kinda admitted defeat my back has said no more I’ve ended up with a hot water bottle on it to help… So I’m now doing little bits here and there…
They’ve gone on another run… Still lots to do… But the majority of our stuff is here now… It is starting to look like a home we’ve had help getting rooms sorted so we can sleep in bed tonight my son has set up the Internet it’ll take a bit but we’ll get there… But the main thing is we’re both still alive which in itself is a big deal especially as I’ve been doing my favourite thing and quoting friends at dave… Him not knowing it as well and me and my son doesn’t get the jokes so I’ve come close to having to duck a few times :joy::joy::duck:. But I think we’re mainly me are finally going to be happy here… Which is great… Just need a decent kip…
It’s been a fantastic day… I’ve never had such a great move still smiling despite my lack of sleep… I will have a good rest tonight and start being more kind to myself now it’s all over and done with… @Erica :blush::blush:… Next job is to start unpacking I say start carry on we’ve made great progress in the kitchen… Living room is coming along furniture just needs organising a bit more Internet cable is a tad smaller than the one we used to have so things are not going where we first thought :joy::joy::joy: it’s all fun and games but now I’ve put the plants on the kitchen window sill it feels like home :blush::blush:
Roll on Sunday it’ll be time for mummy and seeing my sis for the first time in a year hopefully longer that 2 minutes this time :joy::joy:
I wonder what’s next for us it does seem to be one thing after another but there’s certainly never a dull moment in our house…
So Say tuned for the next chapter :rofl::rofl::rofl: happy Friday everyone
I hope you enjoyed your day :bouquet::bouquet:

Oh @Ells you have done so, so brilliantly and now take your time unpacking in your new home together.
Really look forward and enjoy spending time with your mum and sister.
I can see your smile glowing from here, your determination, your adventures and never loose your wicked sense of humour, we love all those things about you.
I await your next chapter.
Sleep tight.

Hi @Erica

I wish I could take my time unpacking my happy little helper is here and wants to unpack everything… My back has decided today is doesn’t really want to play ball so after unpacking his wardrobe with him and making his bed with him… He’s currently unpacking our dvds for me :joy::joy: saving us yet another job and he’s loving it… With me helping him as he needs me to… I’m sat with my feet up :joy::joy::joy:
Am looking forward to seeing them tomorrow but first I get to see my son again as I’ve been roped into wrapping his Christmas presents for him… So I can’t take the relevant ones with me tomorrow cheeky devil he is… He gets me to do it every year… Mind you this year I don’t mind I’ll watch football with him and I’ve roped him into coming back with me to go help dave get out washing machine… Yep we didn’t get it all done yesterday… Daves been at it again today with a little help and I’m suffering…
Omg did I sleep 8 hours again would of been longer but me phone rang and woke me up. I have been cursing that person all day… I suspect sales call… Didn’t answer it…
Absolutely love for you all to tag along I am so happy right now despite the tiredness and pain :grin::grin:
Happy Saturday everyone

Hi @Ells there is always something going on in your household. if only we had the fitness and energy of Littlin, your happy little helper.
My son doesn’t even wrap Christmas presents or send cards, he tested positive for Covid in the week so his excuse now will be that her couldn’t even buy them as he was isolating !!!
Recently for his birthday I told him that I had taken a leaf out of his book and brought really expensive invisible wrapping paper, as there was no expense spared for him, he is 48yrs old.
I was so taken with you saying ‘I am so happy right now despite the tiredness and pain’, you deserve it as you have been through so much and are still smiling.

Hi @Erica

Oh yes never a dull moment in our house :joy:
If only I had half of the fitness and energy he has I’d be happy… :muscle:
Oh no did he I hope he’s OK… But good excuse.
I like the invisible wrapping paper idea I wish I’d of thought of that one when wrapping my presents this time…
Yep still smiling and made the trip to mums in one piece despite my shoulder playing up.
Quite proud of managing the long journey… Littlun is being good for daddy I’ve called and checked :rofl: he didn’t like me going out so didn’t settle in bed until I got back… But he did sleep in his own bed for the first time in over a year…
Thank you… I do feel so happy right now still tired still hurting… But totally still happy definitely made the right choice of house to move into… :joy::joy:
Happy Sunday everyone

Oh @Ells you did so well with your long trip to your mum’s, I find long journeys so painful on my back.
Littlin must feel so happy and secure to sleep in his own bed.
Just enjoy the feeling of being and feeling happy, you deserve it.
Happy hectic week everyone.

Hi @Erica

Thank you it was a massive struggle especially with the quick turnaround to come back home again I don’t normally do that…
Long journeys aren’t good for the back are they.
Oh yes as long as were near by he’s happy by the looks of it which is lovely it means I get to spend weekends in my own bed again…
Im totally enjoying it :grin::grin::grin::grin: that’s me atm :joy::joy::joy:
Oh yes most definitely happy hectic week everyone… Try not to forget anything… But most of all enjoys yourselves :blush:Xx
