How am I supposed to feel

Hi @Nichola75

Absolutely I so can’t wait to see her it’s been too long although we text every day its not the same as seeing each other.
I don’t have an update today. Nothing has really changed for me im still really tired even though I’m managing to get a decent sleep at night and a few hours in the afternoon but that’s my life :rofl::rofl:
Happy Saturday everyone :grin::grin::grin:

Hi @Ells yes, there is nothing like your thoughtful mum is there.
Be ever so kind to yourself you have gone through so much emotionally, physically and practically. Our batteries take so long to replenish themselves.
Yes, a very happy Saturday to you too.

Hi @Nichola75 @Erica

Oh yes i had a good nap today and even managed some relaxation just about before getting disturbed by littlun to take him for a walk :rofl:
Weekends absolutely do me in with him here but I wouldn’t have it any other way he’s such a cutie… Tomorrow or should I say later today now looking at the time we’re going to have a walk around the lake so he can go to the park. No doubt he’ll choose the long route :rofl:… I’ll make sure I have a nap before we go :grin: xx

Sounds like you’re doing ok @Ells . I think you’re getting more sleep than me! My sleep patterns are always very erratic but usually due to the noisy people that live in my house rather than any medical reason

Hi @Ells good planning for your afternoon, a nap, the lake and the park, enjoy.

Hi @franko, so sorry to hear you have noisy people living in your house, I know I really need my sleep to help me function.

That would drive me crazy @Franko. Are they aware just how noisy they are?

Hi @Franko @Erica @Nichola75

It’s been a long time coming this sleep thing. Now I’m back on the iron tablets again last night for the first in the a couple of weeks I slept again for 6 hours. Haematologist thought it was strange it’s helping get sleep but was happy to keep prescribing them if they’re helping me plus they’re keeping my levels up… It is hard to sleep when there’s noise around I found it hard then the neighbours were getting work done in their house so to live with it it must be so frustrating for you how do you cope. I have to agree with @Erica I need my sleep to function. I’m so grouchy if I don’t sleep and my brain is just mush :joy::joy:
Well the park was just lovely littlun was so well behaved as usual although I stood too long and ended up with shooting pains up one side and the other side didn’t want to help me out :joy::joy::joy: luckily my partner joined us this time he appeared while I was just outside the park on a bench resting as if by magic with a coffee :joy::joy: and took over… It was a shame there was nowhere inside where I could sit this time where I could watch so I stood with him. Then we went and fed the ducks before dave followed me home… He really is my hero at times

Isn’t it just wonderful to have a hero! X

Oh @Ells I have this vision of Dave in a Superman outfit beaming down with that coffee, a true hero.
I am glad that the iron tablets are helping with your sleeping, yes, doesn’t it make a difference.
Littlun sounds so good and what a joy just feeding the ducks together and it’s free, what more could you want.
What free things gives others joy?

Hi @Nichola75 @Erica.

It most certainly is. To be honest when he appeared with the coffee it certainly felt like he had beamed down in some kind of super hero outfit just when I needed him :joy::joy:
Omg he is such a joy and this weekend he has been such a good boy dave was poorly all weekend littlun was poorly Saturday night. So it was one of those weekends for us.
But on the bright side my bloods have come back all good the upping of meds worked and my platelets have come down to 350 the best they’ve ever been… I’m all ready for my op in the morning. Just need to get through the next few days and get myself home…:blush:
Hope everyone is OK  Xx

Gosh, it sounds as if the men in your life were suffering at the weekend.
But as you say on the bright side your bloods are behaving.
Gosh you have waited for this op for so long and at last the time is nearly here.
I’ll be thinking of you, I expect your emotions are all over the place, really look after yourself and follow the recuperating advice. xxx

Hi @Nichola75 & @Erica

Yes they were poor things… Dave more than Ashton which was not good for me but I carried on… Erica I was OK until I went to get in the car yesterday… I have managed to keep it together… Dave isn’t allowed to visit until 5 day but we’re hoping I’ll be home by then. I slept once I got to the hospital a d had to be woken for the op… Op went well I knew absolutely nothing about it one minute a canular was going in my arm the next I was in recovery :joy::joy:
Spenr last night drinking loads of water some coffee sleeping and peeing it’s a 2 hour cycle
. The only cycling I’ve done for a long time :rofl:
I certainly will look after myself and behave right now there’s not alot I can do its an enhanced pain that I was going through at home… Thank you for your kind wishes and thoughts it is muchly appreciated :blush::hugs: xx

Morning, how are you doing today?
I think you did so well holding it together but there comes a point where we have to let it out. Getting in the car ready to go in your way all makes it a bit real doesn’t it!
I do love your sense of humour - you always manage to make me smile!
Now, rest up and go as you’re told. Have you managed to talk to Dave via zoom? I hope so.
Sending lots of love X

Hi @Ells, I am so glad that you have had your very long awaited op and the anaesthetic hasn’t dulled your great sense of humour.
How is your pain level today, please do let your medical team know and don’t suffer in silence as the pain will make you tense up, which might not be good for you.
Thinking of you loads and sending you lots of healing vibes xx

Hi @Nichola75 @Erica

I really don’t remember writing this but came on to tell you I’d had the op which you already know :joy::joy:… I was in a room on my own which I had asked if it was because I couldn’t be trusted with other people :joy::joy: I also asked several times if I could go dancing to which I was told no :joy::joy::joy:
I’m home now and was let loose on Friday… I’m still in alot of pain but happier to be in my own bed… Still cycling every 2 hours no let up there :joy:… I wasn’t allowed anymore pain relief in hospital but I was good and got discharged by everyone I saw straight away…
Now its a case of doing the exercises and behaving which dave and mum are making sure I do…
Thank you so much for your good vibes and love it means alot :blush::blush: I hope to be up and about properly very soon xx
