Glad your husband is feeling a bit better @Toadmum
Sitting tight and resting sounds good to me for you all.

Day 10 post transplant. No fevers since the first day so seems the antibiotics are doing their thing.
Been to vote & enjoying a leisurely first day of the holidays .
Day 11 post transplant no news
Hi @Toadmum no news is good news in my book!!
Day 12 going well, I have been working hard at relaxing!
Hi @Toadmum I like the relaxing bit, but unfortunately we have to do the working hard bit as well.
Today is day 13 and neutrophil growth has started . No other news at this point in time but doing well all round.
Hi @Toadmum doing well all round is positive to me.
Day 14 , had a nice visit this morning. Kids are away on holiday so I have some time to myself which feels very unusual. Making the most of it.
Iām loving these daily updates @Toadmum Youāve captured the positive side of taking a day at a time. I think I might start doing the same in a journal.
@Erica it sounds like you are having a challenging time at the moment. I hope you are looking after yourself as much as you look after all of us.
Iāve realised I lose track of which threads Iāve posted in about my dad. After 4 weeks in hospital with an infection in his leg he came home on Thursday. He still needs daily antibiotics so itās back to the hospital every day, but at least he gets home cooked food and his own bed and bathroom. Hospital bathrooms arenāt exactly the most relaxing of places are they? It was a long day today though with two bags of blood transfusion, one platelets and the antibiotics.
I managed to have a few days of pretending it isnāt happening, which was so nice. I got to go to the British Grand Prix and watch Lewis win. It was lovely and lots of fun.
Thank you for the lovely message! It boosted me this morning to read it.
Bless your dad, how is he doing now? Reading your words about the time it takes to deal with infections & a day where you might need a blood test, transfusions and platelets - wow, a full day! It took me to many a similar day weāve had over the last few months! Blood cancer is like a full time job isnāt it.
Your time out sounds incredible! How are YOU doing overall? Sending lots of love.
Ps. Day 15 here! All going OK, really just waiting on neutrophils to pick up in speed but they are slowly increasing each day.
Oh @Toadmum thanks for the update, slow and steady wins the race in my book, enjoy your time while the children are away on holiday.
Day 16. Nice big boost of neutrophils overnight. I think weāre probably not too far off him coming home all being well. Maybe later this week or over the weekend if lucky.
Oh @Toadmum good news, what your diary does so well is taking it a day at a time xxx
Day 17 - neutrophils now above 0.5 which is lovely. Need to sustain and grow these and I donāt think heās too far off coming home.
Heās impatient to be let home but we did agree that after 8 months, a little bit more time to go home ready and prepared is neither here nor there.
Good day for me, enjoying a series on TV and going to have a glass of wine. Hope everyone else is doing OK too?
A good day all round @Toadmum !!!
Day 18 today. Today is a good day. Neutrophils above 1.0.
Think he will be home all being well early next week. They may take his Hickman line out before he goes home due to his earlier E. coli infection so need to wait on timings for that in the hospital. Heās in good spirits and I think is happy for a few extra days to make sure his levels are stable and hopefully make sure his blood and platelets are in a good spot too.
Heya @Toadmum
We have been loving your updates. Fab news on neutrophils and generally how well your husband has been doing post transplant
Good idea to wait a little longer to try and get everything in the best place it can possibly be before heading home
Do let us know how things goā¦
Sending love and positive thoughts
Sarah
Hi @Toadmum I agree with everything @SarahMum and Danae say, they say it better than I could they are our DD (Dynamic Duo).
Thank you both of you! @SarahMum
I was thinking of you both just the other day. His transplant ended up being via his brother and the transplant was haplo rather than full. We werenāt really sure what to expect through the initial process but it has been overall really good!
He came home this afternoon! The doctors said they were very happy for him to go. He is armed with the biggest medicine bag(s) that I have ever seen.
