Hi was diagnosed with Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS) in 2023, i also have genital herpes (31year ago from an unfaithful partner) and since the beginning of the year, have found i am having numerous outbreaks but they seem to be getting worse.
I have read that Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS) and herpes virus can be linked, but you know what google is like sometimes. Has anyone else found this?
Hi @Juels and welcome to our forum.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing numerous outbreaks since the start of the year. I’m sure others will share any related experiences. In the meantime, while I’m not able to speak from direct experience or a medical viewpoint, I do know that Google isn’t always the best place to go for reliable and up to date information! Do you have a medical care team or point of contact that you can raise this with? The Blood Cancer UK support line is also available on 0808 2080 888.
Take care,
Maggie
Hi @Juels welcome to our forum and I agree with everything @MaggieLT says.
Have you spoken to your specialist nurse, medical team or GP as they know your whole medical history.
We are all complex individuals.
I hope others will be able to share their personal experiences for you.
Oh, I am wary of Google too.
Look after and be kind to yourself and please do keep posting.
