Hi @Beza,

Thanks for your post. I’m aware my colleague has replied to you directly, but I wanted to share here too.

I’m so sorry to read about your Dad and the cost of this treatment. It sounds like a really difficult time for you and your family and this financial issues just adds more worry for you. I can understand you reaching out for help.

Have you spoken to your treating team about your situation and sought their advice? If not, we’d really encourage you to do so.

Helping you access treatment isn’t something we’re able to offer here at Blood Cancer UK. The UK has very strict laws and policies around prescribed drugs, there are policies and licenses that are in place to stop the sale and resale of medications. Prescriptions are needed for each patient and the Health Care Professionals that are prescribers would not write a prescription for a patient that was unknown to them. There are even stricter laws and policies for anti-cancer treatments.

One option to help may be the international organisation ‘My Tomorrows’. They help patients and their treatment teams find possible treatment options. You can find out more information here: mytomorrows.com/en/patients.

This webpage might also be useful to your situation - Medical Crowdfunding Guide (gofundme.com), as it shares best practices for successful crowdfunding for medical treatments.

I hope this helps. Take good care of yourself.

Wishing you and your Dad all the best.

Ali
