Sometimes we all have those times we need a pick-me-up. Tonight I got a call from my sister in law to say she is running the marathon for @bloodcanceruk - how amazing! Feeling very emotional but also very grateful to have such amazing family and friends X
I hope you are a doing ok X
How brilliant x
What a good thing to do
Fantastic! I did the London Marathon in 2018 for the charity and it will always be one of my greatest achievements. I wish your runner so well, may they run safe and strong. And raise lots and lots!! All the best
@Nichola75 You forgot to add, the second phone call saying she had signed you up as well
It is hard for the smaller charities, seen my own small efforts being swamped locally by another charity doing an event in a similar manner close to my date. So any money raised is a great result.
So who is on bike helping her train? We need someone to replace Mo now
Oh @Nichola75 wow, what a pick-me-up and what a sister.
Our family and friends sure are priceless and I always think something that has has involved that extra thought means even more.
Please send her my thanks and good luck, apparently it’s all in the preparation, training and pacing yourself, not that I would know!!!
I couldn’t thinking anything worse’ don’t think of even make a
mile - unless I could swim it
Not me @Erica!!!
Wow what an incredible sister, @Nichola75! That really is so amazing of her. Do share her donation page on here if she’s open to sponsorship and it seems appropriate to do so.
Maybe there could also be a sponsored Swim Of Light
