Advice on itchy cancer growths

Anyone have any tips on how to relieve the itch from cancer lumps? I have one on my wrist that is driving me nuts

Hi @Adman.
Sounds uncomfortable. I have copied in the @BloodCancerUK_Nurses as they may me able to help, along with other members. Have your medical team suggested anything helpful?

Not really, just to not to scratch them. If I knock them accidently it feels like I’ve been burnt so I’m definitely not going to scratch but it’s getting to me. Thankfully the big one on my shoulder was taken off for a biopsy

Hi @Adman I just wonder if your medical team can suggest something?
I do not want to suggest anything ‘over the counter’ in case it is detrimental to you.
If you have not had the result of the biopsy perhaps when you all know the results then that might be the time to ask.
Please do let us know how you get on, look after yourself.

Oh no I have had the biopsy results, I have non Hodgkin’s lymphoma marginal zone B cell. This is what has caused the lumps but can’t take this one off

Do you have any contacts like a specialist nurse you might ask or your GP @Adman ?

Hi @Adman,
Thank you for sharing this. I’m sorry you’re having skin issues just now. That sounds really tricky to manage.
Im pleased you have reported them and had them biopsied, as hopefully this will ultimately allow for an appropriate treatment to be given. However, I wonder if in the meantime, whilst you wait on biopsy results, if you were able to ask your team about symptom relief.
Has your team been able to discuss this with you at all or suggested anything to relieve the itching?

Also remember we are very much at the end of the phone for you should you rather talk things through- 0808 2080 888.

Take Care, Lauran
