AML hope in bucket loads!

Like all Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) sufferers my wife and I were totally devastated by my original diagnosis and horrified by the term “terminal”. HOWEVER that was three years ago! Sure there have been “up and downs”, innumerable injections, pill popping and transfusions but, now there are plenty of “ups” thanks to wonderful care from my lovely wife, relatives and, of course, the fantastic NHS. Keep smiling and make full use of “good days”.

Hi @Geoffers

Thanks so much for your post. I have tagged it with ‘Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML)’ so hopefully more people in a similar situation will see it and collect one of the buckets of the hope you’re sharing.

It sounds like you have some wonderful, supportive people around you too and I bet it is good for them to see you being/ feeling so positive.

Keep enjoying those ups, and take good care of yourself.

Warm wishes,
Ali
