Another wonderful list @anon06 I think I sang them all as I read it.
Yes, I reckon we all have a lot of singers and songs on the subs bench

Thanks
Of course it wasn’t easy, surprisingly I never picked more hits by the Beatles and Elvis, but there were other hits I could not ignore.

As for the Righteous Brothers, I picked ā€œUnchained Melodyā€ over "Youve Lost That Loving Feeling ", because it was a double hit due to the film ā€œGhostā€.

Jennifer Rush only really had one big hit as an artist, "The Power Of Love ", yet you could not leave it out. It must be the #1 track of compilations. In any top 21 I picked Motown would take up a lot and of course Abba.

Also @Erica Jennifer Rush was a fantastic artist, I’m mystified that she never had more chart success. Ok some moderate success with the likes of ā€œRing Of Iceā€ & ā€œModonnas Eyesā€, very good. Mabye a sign of the musical trends as the years progressed, to be honest I stopped regularly buying compilations after 1988. Apart from compilations and her original album, her material was rare to find in stores.

I bought her later studio albums (non compilations) on Amazon, awesome!

Based on other peoples replies to anthems and my choices represnting vulnerable I will list 21 eventually and look forward to more posts, before I complete it. Ive added a touch of imagination as well and tagged newcomers to contribute
Rise Up Andrea day
(compilation title)
Unstoppable Sia
I believe I can fly Johnny Mathis
Heal The World Michael Jackson
I will Survive Gloria Gaynor
We are the champions Queen

One Moment In time
Original by Whitney Houston, but to add a contemporary touch I would pick Beverley Knight to sing it, who played the role on stage. Bev would increase selling power as well.

The Greatest Day Of Our Lives
I would ask Gary Barlow to re-write the song adapt it to our cause

Beautiful Christina Aguilera
Get On Your Feet Gloria Estefan
So Strong Libri Safri
(exuse spellings )

Given some of my ideas, I’m sure replies may be "yea if only " or "To be polite, in an ideal world " & ā€œDream Onā€, ill admit they would be fair comment!

Sorry @anon06, I like your enthusiasm but all this is making me feel under pressure so I won’t be joining in. Sorry to disappoint you. I enjoy the Friday Jukebox but all the lists are a bit too much for me! Warm wishes, Willow

I liked your song choices as well
How do you get the different serif font?

Your reply is A Kinda Magic :hugs:

Hi @anon06 I got the font by accident as I cut and pasted the questions into a word document to work on and when I copied the response back into here it just turned up like that. By which time my screen (and eyes) were playing up and flickering and I was too tired to battle to rectify it.!!!
One of life’s many little mysteries

Thanks Im surprised that Pati Russo did not make any solo albums really. You picked Whitney, who was awesome, but after Whitney there is not too many singers who could hold their own alongside Freddie, Bonnie Tyler & Beverley Knight were considered strongly, but I opted for Patti Russo having heard her sing with Meatloaf combined with a Steinman songs on album.
@Erica
Surprised I never picked Kerry Ellis who has worked with Brian May on Queen songs but changing my line up would feel like cheating
