We could create a posters for a live concerts
eventually
Hi @anon06 your great enthusiasm shines through again so donât get carried away now!!!
Iâll take that as a compliment obviously, but obviously I wonât get carried away.
I did have a concept of Mercury leading the charge for two hours with special guests dueting with him.
Then after 2hrs the lights would go dark for the stadium only to be lit with mobile phones after 5 minutes a fanfare would be heard a spotlight would appear then ELVIS would appear.
Ok ill calm down now
It is a compliment @anon06 I wish I had your energy!!!
Thanks, just had to add Elvis!
Hi, everyone! I am new to the forum and have enjoyed reading through this thread. I have taken the liberty of going back to an earlier stage of it and have been inspired to look through the music collection on my phone for ideas of songs for blood cancer diagnosis, treatment, support and survival, and have come up with the following selection.
- Barry Manilow
Looks like we made it (what a relief!)
- ELO
Livinâ thing (better than the alternative!)
- Roger Whittaker
Hello, good morning, happy day (always uplifting!)
- Michael Ball
Youâll never walk alone
- Carpenters
Itâs going to take some time (the whole process, but waiting for the JAK-2 gene mutation results in particularâŚ)
I wonât last a day without you (also known as the ode to baby aspirin)
Solitaire (how it can feel at diagnosis before you find the support here)
- Cliff Richard
Travellinâ light (straight after a venesection, obviously)
Power to all our friends (on the forum and everyone else who supports us)
- Jean-Jacques Goldman
Long is the road
Je te donne (I give you⌠my blood â by venesection, obviously! â and whatever support you need)
- Joe Dassin
Le petit pain au chocolat (perfect for bringing our glucose levels back up post-venesection)
- The Seekers
Walk with me
A world of our own
We shall not be moved
- Edith Piaf
La vie en rose (my haematologist checks just how âroseâ my palms, feet and the bottoms of my eyes are at each appointment, as well as the redness of my face)
Mon dieu (the usual exclamation on seeing my blood test results)
- ABBA
Gimme gimme gimme (a venesection after midnight)
- And finally, the greatest single source from my music collection⌠Mika!
Câest la vie (sadly)
Doucement (Slowly/gently - how we need to take things)
Bougez (Move! â How my heart sinks knowing just how important exercise is)
Talk about you (for the forum)
Hurts (after a bone marrow biopsy)
Live your life
We are golden (preferable to being red from our haemoglobin and haematocrit levels being too high!)
Heroes (all of us and those who support us!)
Happy ending (what we are all hoping for)
