Hi, I was diagnosed with Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS) in February this year with a count of 19. After my recent blood test in August, I was called by my Doctor who said I had to repeat my test in 3 months (and not the usual 6) as the count had gone up to 26 a “band” had been found and “they” (I presume he means whoever tests the blood) want to see if it is still there or has grown. I asked him what a “band” was and he proceeded to explain in complex (to me) medical terms. I’m still at a loss - can anyone help ? I am now getting worried.
