Thanks lovely @Byrnebaby I’ve woken up feeling good today. It is very moment by moment but I’m relishing the feeling while it lasts. How are you enjoying your freedom? What have you been up to? Xx

@Spangleystar yes, enjoy the feeling good! Won’t be long sweetheart and you’ll be home and recovering in comfort and with your family xhope you are getting plenty of calls and FaceTime, and being looked after by the staff x

I’ve been out walking with hubby before he goes to work every morning, managing 2 miles before breakfast, and then just decluttering a room each day, and trying to watch a film, but can’t get into anything.

A lovely lady I talk to on FB is doing ambulatory at The Christie this week and is talking me through it each day, so it’s not so frightening when it’s my turn  so that’s helping me a little,

Well, you are 8 days into it now, so hopefully, maybe another 8 and you may be on the way home? X

I’m hopeful for another 5  @Byrnebaby glad you’re finding someone that can talk you through it. I’m finding it quite confronting at times to discuss so replying in emojis. I would also find it more stressful to hear other people’s day by day accounts because with so many different areas going on recovery isn’t the same for everyone and certainly isn’t linear. So i hope you understand why I’ve kept details light xx

@Spangleystar oh it’s not a day by day account, more of a today was Hickman, today melphalan , today cells back, just a more reassurance about how the staff are and how easy it all is really, as we build that part up so much in our heads, I’m sure she will also go very private when the d&v and low spell happens, we all deal in our own way, and I’m helping her by ‘being’ with her through it, as she’s doing it all alone too, we can have a good chat if a night and nice to have a friendly voice x as you say, we will all have different experiences but her first 3 days will be exactly how mine will be, but I’ll be in hospital, not going home like her x you think you’ll be out in 5 days? Or you want another 13?

I don’t think anything but my goal is out in 5 days xxx

Sound like your on the timeline.
It maybe like this for a couple days but you will come out the other side.
Once N are 1.0 and you can tolerate taking oral antibiotics you should be able to go home.
I came home day 11
