Thank you so much @2DB for sharing your beautiful photos. There is something about being near water that brings me peace. Actually I had a frightening experience as a young child in a swimming pool so I prefer not to go into the water but being near it is ok! Willow x
Thanks @Duncan
My wife is a very good photographer and enjoys it a lot.
I try my best but don’t really have an eye for a very good shot in the way she does.
She’s always been good at photography even when she just had a basic camera
While I was in for my Bone Marrow Transplant in Glasgow last year she picked a number of murals and went and photographed.
She even so some being created
PS: Yes bed of Bluebells in latest photos
Cracking shots @2DB and thanks for sharing
I’m not a very good swimmer and would rather be out of water but like you I love to run my hands through it and listen to the sound it makes. There is something healing about it isn’t there ![]()
This reminds me so much of RHS Wisley @2DB we used to live 5 minutes from there and it was my regular early morning weekend pram walk to let my husband have a lie in. Because I know it inside and out it’s easy to soften my eyes to this picture and hear nature all around ![]()
Day 5 today and they told me they are starting GCSF tomorrow @Byrnebaby. Not going to lie, the thought of more of those is stressing me more than it should, but heeding 2DB’s words of a while back regarding pain management- if it gets painful I will be clear I need relief.
How are you all doing today? Byrnebaby, 2DB, @Duncan @DuncanB @willow and anyone else reading this thread!
Don’t forget this one @Duncan Places that you love and lift your spirits
Doing well @Spangleystar and hope that you’re having a reasonable day
Awww @Spangleystar
just think of them as a turbo boost for your beautiful healthy cells x I hope everything is going ok and you aren’t getting too bored, or too much v&d xxx
Funnily enough I took the river and path pictures at Wakehurst not far away maybe that’s why it feels familiar ![]()
Ha yes thank you for the reminder @Spangleystar, I think my chemo brain typed an idea that was already in fruition, having momentarily forgotten @DuncanB started us off with his lovely thread!
I’m glad to read how you’re doing and I imagine some of it is a bit of a game of patience, which I’m sure you’ll succeed at. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that any pain you have will be managed well, but you’ll know when to ask for anything you need.
Thanks for asking after me even while you’re going through what you are. I’m doing well, just getting ready for my bi-monthly blood tests to see if I need phlebotomy. Haven’t needed it since September so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that’ll continue!
Yes @Byrnebaby that’s a good way to look at it, it’s just hard to welcome anything additional right now is all. Feel too zonked to be bored to be honest xx
Ohh @Spangleystar
I can imagine you are feeling exhausted and overloaded with meds xx I hope they are looking after you well and keeping you fed and hydrated x sleep as much as you can x you got this ![]()
![]()
@Duncan its Tryfan Duncan, Ogwen Valley, Snowdonia x
Ah should have known @Byrnebaby, must have driven past there many times when visiting family—we even used to stop beside Llyn Ogwen for picnics! Lucky you to have that cragged beauty around you ![]()
@Duncan yes, very lucky! Just an hour away, look forward to being able to get my boots on and back out there next year! But picnics will do for now x
Good morning lovely
@Spangleystar how are you doing this morning sweetheart?
tell us it all xx
Good morning @Byrnebaby
How are you how’s it going?
I’m full of cold
bit of a nightmare really as we had celebrations planned tonight 21 years since my husband retired we celebrate every year:( so that’s all gone out the window.
More worryingly I’m having surgery tomorrow for some biopsies for something that came up on last PET scan or am I
I have called them they have said the anaesthetist will decide tomorrow, so still have to go in regardless.
How’s your priming going ?
Oh @Jules isnt that just typical! Sorry you’ve been laid low and it’s disrupted your lovely plans and your not so lovely ones
Congratulations to hubby on his anniversary! That’s so wonderful x I hope you get your tests done, as it’s not nice having a delay when you naturally worry x
Ohh I had my cells collected last Wednesday! 4.5 million, and I only had to do the 1 day, so that was a huge relief x Just getting used to the wait for Stem cell transplant now, as I don’t know when that will be x Get well soon lovely x
Hey beautiful @Byrnebaby thanks for asking. I am getting through it. My n’s are 0.1 today and am starting on GCSF. The doc said it doesn’t feel the same as for collection as your bone marrow has been wiped and so the plan is to boost that not to get them to overspill, which was the pain I was dreading.
I got a new hospital family who are popping in and checking on me, they’re such good people, the mum is in with lymphoma and bed ridden so we’re keeping each other company. The daughter who I met initially keeps sending me supportive voice notes too, so kind.
I can’t eat or drink much, i’m on the mouth spray and rinse, but I’m hoping I’ll start to pick up more over the next couple of days xx
