High lymphocytes

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post. Turns out I’ve had a lymphocyte count of around 6 for about 2 years and have been referred to haematology, appt due on 7 march. It might be nothing of course but I’m getting myself into a state about it really and doing too much Google searching which doesn’t help. Could anyone advise me what happens at first appointment and how long it takes for results in nhs?

Thank you x

Hi @Juju64 thanks for posting, I hope you do not need us.
Yes, we often hear that too much Googling does get people in a state on here.
Just in case I will copy you a page from the Blood Cancer UK website
I’ve just been told I have blood cancer | Blood Cancer UK.
As for your other question tests take many forms and take different amounts of time to test or appointments to come through for and it can depend which NHS areas you are under, so perhaps there is no answer, but it is a question for your appointment.
I always write down my fears, questions and practicalities before appointments.
Please do let us know how you get on.
Really look after yourself and perhaps rest those fingers.
