Keeping or maintaining a level of fitness

I just wondered if there are any cycling groups for people with blood cancer in North East Lincolnshire or would anyone be interested in group cycling?

Hi @WornOutEngine a great big welcome to posting on our forum.
I cannot answer your question, which is a brilliant one, but I will copy your post to the Blood Cancer UK support services @BloodCancerUK-SupportTeam in case they can help.
Perhaps others on our forum might want to join you, I hope so.
I am a walker myself, but both are great for building up our fitness at our own pace.
Slow and steady wins the race and look after yourself.
I also look forward to hearing more about you.

Wonderful idea, @WornOutEngine ! If I were there, I’d join you but I’m on the continent in belle France. I hope you find a cycling buddy soon! :biking_woman:

I have bike-toured the Loire Valley and Lille to Ghent by the Roubaix canal - and in retrospect, I probably already had Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) for at least one of those trips! Probably helped that I’m also a turtle (20 km/day goal the first trip, 50 km/day the second) :turtle: But slow and steady wins the race. (Only biked in the mornings and sightsaw in the afternoons after setting up my tent.)

Hi @WornOutEngine,
I hope you are keeping well? We have asked out regional team in case they had any idea of cycling groups and although they are not aware of any based in Lincoln they have suggested a our local fundraising branch in Grimsby as they hold a bikeathon- Blood Cancer UK - Grimsby Branch.

I hope this is useful.

Take good care, Lauran
