Masks, Social Distancing etc - How are we all feeling about total lifting of restictions?

Oh @Lyn99 I think I will pass on the licorice bars, I am more of a chocolate and shortbread girl myself.

Well I’m still no further forward with the vaccine and haven’t been advised about the Pfizer one…the Dr says to contact the immunisation clinic and they said contact the Dr.s . I’ve ventured out to take mum to the dentist…and got an appt myself in 2 weeks…il Definately wear a mask.
My friends son had to.isolate because of the pingdemic …so I didn’t see her her for a while . Even used a few covid tests to keep.myself reassured. Luckily everyone’s fine but we are sticking to our bubble…everything back to normality…as we know it now.
Have to say with the heat I haven’t done much …watered the garden and keep dead heading the roses …which have been glorious this year. Now have my honeysuckle blooming and my butterfly bush coming into bloom.
I’ve started watching a tv programme called manifest on sky…it’s addictive…
Seeing the rising infection rates concerns me …I wrote to.my mp but got a polite reply from him about outlining the government s road map. Some waffle about what they were doing .o replied back saying thank you for not reading my email …and sarcastically said it was good to see he had empathy with those who were worried and still in lock down… you only have to see the attitude of the new health secretary nonsensical. He insults all.of us and d those we have lost.
Take care everyone and please stay safe :blush:

As for my platelets got blood test in 3 weeks and telephone consultation. Feel ok.being honest get my anyeurism checked in October and just take my time recovering. Been busy making a patch work quilt …don’t ask it’s addictive

Hi @Hmc63, it’s lovely to hear from you.
Look at you getting all creative. I’d love to be able to do something like that. Does it take a long time?
A wedding will be lovely - always such happy occasions and hopefully the sun will be shining.
I’ve used Headspace in the past. It’s good to find something that works for you.
Let us know how your appointment goes and take care.
Happy patchworking! X

Hi @Hmc63 I am so impressed with you keeping calm and staying safe,
Headspace meditations sound good and definitely worth a try.
Oh, a patchwork quilt sounds great, yes, I bet it is addictive.
Are you using materials you already had, then every piece will be a memory as well and everyone can be different.
We expect a photo of it when it is finished, mind you that would be beyond my capabilities !!!
Enjoy.

I’d not thought of using material.id had for while …good idea…I just bought loads of squares to make it up…il probably take up your idea for my next project.
I was supposed to get my eyes tested today however anxiety took over and I just had to cancel and rearrange …thoughts of going into a busy shopping place to get it done was too much and I’ve got a wedding tomorrow …oh dear …still.happy days…

Oh @Hmc63 a busy shopping place is scary isn’t it, but for me if I rearranged the appointment it would only make me more anxious or intensify it because I would be dreading it longer.
Good luck with the wedding tomorrow, all you can do is keep yourself safe.
Please let us know how both events go and take care.

Hi @Hmc63. Perhaps you could speak to the opticians and ask when the quietest time is? It’s horrible when that happens but you’ll get there
How are you feeling about the wedding?

I’ve had to cancel …my friend who was going with me is isolating as she s been in contact with someone who tested positive for covid. Luckily she tests herself every day …I checked myself as we are in a bubble but I was negative…My anxiety levels went through the roof so I realised it was harming my health…I cancelled. My other friends are also isolating. Can’t risk it been through so much this year… never mind got an outing to the dentist to look forward to  I need to get some professional help I’ve decided as my anxiety levels are bad …

I think you have to do what’s best for you, and like you said, your health is the most important thing at the moment.
I think it’s really brave to admit you may need some help with your anxiety. I hope you have a supportive GP who can help?
In the meantime, take care of yourself and let us know how you are keeping😊

Yes, @Hmc63 that was brave of you to cancel your appointment.
It must also be scary for you having so many friends isolating around you.
Also extremely brave of you to realise that perhaps you might benefit from some professional help with your anxiety, I know that it has helped me in the past.
Please do let us know how you get on with this.
Perhaps you might like to be extra kind to yourself at this time.

Well I made my first solo journey today…I appreciate it was the dentist but first time I’ve been on my own since February …and drove the car as well…although anxious I was ok …Small steps but feel like I’ve moved forward a bit…
Stay safe everyone and thank you

Wow @Hmc63 this sounds like a great big leap to me.
I honestly do not know if I will drive again, we have good transport links around here.
I think I will also be an anxious passenger to start with.
I also haven’t been to the dentist in a couple of years because of Covid times.
You certainly have moved forward a lot, time for a celebration I think…
Has anyone else made any strides forward?

Well.have managed an Other solo trip.to Drs drove myself there’ and back… just waiting for blood tests now.
My friend has had to isolate as her daughter tested positive for covid …so made me more independent… I started getting feelings or normality back …got my follow up angiogram in October to check my anyeurism in my head.
Wish I could just stop time let’s things settle until after Christmas…bit fed up with medical stuff this year…but then without it were would we be…
Onwards and upwards as they say …a friend bought me some healing crystals…not into anything like that but they are beautiful colours …just wondered if anyone else has used them. I love some of the colours and shapes they mould them.into
Stay safe everyone

It is interesting @Hmc63 I am going out for the first time socially on Thursday and I think you are right, perhaps I need that push to get feelings of normality back…
Yes, you certainly deserve to be fed up with medical stuff this year.
How lovely that a friend brought you some healing crystals today, isn’t it wonderful to be thought about like that.
I will be fascinated to hear more about them if anyone has experience of them.
Yes, onwards and upwards sound good to me.

Thank you…I got a book about crystals to see more about them alot of Reiki healers use them and chakra stones which I understand comes from yoga practices. I’ve started my yoga again just gently building up… still early days with these healing crystals…but they do look lovely …some gorgeous colours and shapes…that’s what fascinates me more …one is a moonstone in the shape if a heart …the other is jade in the shape of an angel… I decluttered my cupboard of old blankets bedding and towels and took the all up to the animal rescue centre for the dog shelter . Took them a sewing machine still in its box for their summer raffle .
