Hi, I opened this a few minutes ago after signing up this evening, the first post here was from 2021… and the the prompt words were/are Green and Head… this took me to a song and band I have liked since they first appeared in the early 80’s, Scritti Politti, their singer and founder is called Green ( a name he choose for himself as there were already too many Pauls in his family), and his first band was called Heads of the Valleys.
That synchronicity of one of my fave tunes aligning with both the prompt words… lands well with me this evening.

Years… 1969 by The Stooges. Their debut album still remains, in my opinion, one of the most incendiary of all time. Interesting to observe how Iggy has evolved over the decades from sneering enfant terrible into gravel-voiced, avuncular sage.

Numbers… Numbers 22 by The Black Diamond Heavies. At the time this was recorded, the band was a two-piece with James Leg on keyboards and vocals and Van Campbell on drums. Raw and uncompromising music, steeped in rock n roll, gospel, country and blues, with attitude. (And yet, James is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I bumped into him in the street on my way to a gig at The Lexington while he was having a pre-gig stroll to clear his head and we wandered back to the venue together. His onstage persona and his offstage persona are very different. :slight_smile: )

Another week passes and it’s back round to Friday.

I thought I would jump on and suggest a couple of words that capture for me some of the posts that I’ve read on the forum and more widely recognises the reality of everyone’s cancer journey.

So the two words I have chosen are HIGH and LOW.

For HIGH my song choice is StoneBridge Put 'Em High

For LOW I’ve chosen a Runrig Classic Loch Lomond which covers both high and low

Look forward to others choices.
