Now that has made me watch my Grease DVD!
Great @SP7 and I can never get over Olivia Newton-John’s figure.
Good thought there @Franko
Late to the party, as I was at another - my daughter’s wedding shindig (the actual wedding was a year ago, with 6 people there).
For Together, no words here, but the album’s called Together.
I’ll get back to you on Control
Hope the celebration went well!
Thanks - all good, even my Few Words!
And for Control - James Taylor may not use the word, but it’s all about control. (He might, as it’s live and he must have sung it hundreds of times)
Thanks great choices from you as usual @BobK99.
What a brilliant idea to have a shindig a year after getting married, I bet it was a very special, so enjoyable day with your daughter, husband and family and friends.
Today’s words:
Diamonds
Rust
(and if you’ve never heard of Joan Baez, what are they teaching kids these days?! )
Hello @BobK99. Thank you for the words today. I didn’t find DIAMONDS too difficult and my choice would be Shirley Bassey - DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. However, RUST, is a challenge. With some lateral thinking, I have chosen a JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE song called ‘The Other Side’ which talks about LOSING YOUR SHINE - rather like what happens when something rusts! Looking forward to hearing other people’s choices. Warm wishes. Willow
Bril Nichola one of my all time favourite songs - I must be having a bad brain fog day that Neil Diamond did not even come to mind and I love him?! Oh dear !
You’re right @Willow. rust isn’t easy. I should’ve thought
I’ve got this for diamonds though:: Jet Harris and Tony Mehan - from the original Shadows line-up.
I’ll have to get back to you on rust!
Just sing a long for the rest of the day!
Best I can do - apart from Joan Baez, that is I’m not sure whether the lyrics mention “rust” specifically, but it’s all about erosion! Concrete and the clay
(PS At the time, I initially heard it as “My feet begin to crumble” )
I’m stuck on rust but I decided to search the web snd did find this that covers both. Never heard it before though!
Hi @BobK99 thanks for the words @BobK99 and @Jilly20 @Willow @Nichola75 great choices, and I need to get my thinking cap on here.
Inspiration came quicker than I thought:
DIAMONDS - The Beatles - Lucy in the sky with diamonds
RUST - Soft Cell - Tainted love
