As it also relates to music, I also want to share my news with the Friday Jukebox (which I love)
My new book will soon be published!
All proceeds will support the charity. Next week I will run the London Marathon, and the book also celebrates these amazing events and the charity. I also explain how running and new treatments saved my life.
Learn more about blood cancer and be touched by inspirational stories…and LOTS MORE!
Foreword by Simon Thomas, Sky Sports Presenter and Blood Cancer UK President.
More news will follow here.

So, from the title, you will not be surprised to learn that there is a dedcated chapter on music. Why? The book is (partly) about how running (and new treatments) saved my life. And what helps me run? Correct, music! And I explain in the book, it also helped get me through some tough times with blood cancer. I feel in a priveledged position to have survived and now to try and help other patients I hope the book does that. The toughest job I had was to write the book blurb for the cover as there is so much in the book. You can even use it as a reference book if, like me, you struggle to remember technical terms about blood cancer. I will also share my Spotify paylist featuring song mentioned in the book

Look out for more news and I hope you will buy a copy and help support the charity as well as (I hope) enjoy the book (I try to share some humour as well to balance a very serious and sometimes tragic subject- but there is more that is inspirational than tragic, and feature some amazing stories of people who have coped heroically with their own personal tragedies. So, now back to the Jukebox - sorry to have taken up some more space - but I will try to choose a song I mention in the book…it will not be easy :grinning:

You’ll Never Walk Alone was the obvious choice but someone beat me to it - it does feature in the book. I like inspirational songs like this, don’t you? Keeps me going on a tough day. So for ‘walk’ I will choose ‘Running Up That Hill’’ because often you have to walk a little if you are struggling during a long run, and this amazing song naturally features in the book. (How convoluted was that!) OK, I admit I am struggling a little so will try to think of something more relevant.

Thank you @Nichola75 ! I am doing very well, looking forward to the massive challenge of the London Marathon next week: I have trained for a long time for this and despite a virus that has been impossible to shake off entirely I feel energised and ready. So excited, especially when I think about why I am running and how truly lucky I am! And of course, then there is the book… (I kept it secret for so long so forgive me if I make up for that now :grinning: How great it is to be alive!!

Hi @anon06 perhaps it is a team effort on our Friday Jukebox too and others might like to set the words, as it has always been however intriguing and enticing yours are.
However if no words are forthcoming please do leap in. Keep thinking.
