Iām having my 6th this coming tuesday - i caught covid for 2nd time 5 weeks ago and thanks to my 5th jab i barely knew i had it and i only tested because my hubby had it (he was poorlier though as only had 3 jabs - he gets his 4th on Tuesday- but despite registering my positive test and being informed i would be contacted by NHS regarding anti viral treatment they didnt contact me - luckily I didnt need it - same thing happened first time i had it and i was too poorly to chase it - I hope your 6th one goes well with no after effects

Take good care of yourself x
Iām having my 6th in a couple of days. Having had some reaction (mainly rash around neck and upper chest) I would like to know someone somewhere is doing research for those of us vulnerable and thus having had more COVID jabs than most. However I donāt seem to have had Covid itself and had some situations where my limited circle have gone down within 48 hours of me seeing them so I remain cautiously optimistic.
@nelletap people within your limited circle catching Covid so soon after you have seen them is definitely a bit too close for comfort.
I cannot answer your research question so I will copy it to the Blood Cancer UK nurse advisors just in case they can help @BloodCancerUK_Nurses
Iāll be thinking of you when you have your 6th, take care and please let us know how you get on.
Hello @nelletap, it is really good to hear that you are getting your 6th vaccine, I do hope it went smoothy for you?
Our COVID vaccine efficacy pages are here https://bloodcancer.org.uk/support-for-you/coronavirus-covid-19/covid-vaccine-blood-cancer/covid-vaccine-efficacy-blood-cancer/ and they do show the vaccine research already done and this is and will be ongoing. As you will read there is specific vaccine efficacy data in accordance to disease types too. We will add further data as it is completed on these pages in the future.
I do hope this helps, do call us if you would like to talk things through further:

Will look at all this information. The actual day of the jab (Sat) was great - didnāt feel the needle at all and only marginal pain. All that changed about 15 hours later. Iām coming out of the worst now which as before seems to end with the rash to the neck as previously. So reaction has got worse in severity and lasted for longer - intially just over a day but still wobbly and nauseous just over 72 hours later on this one. My sister has similarly been affected but she observes it is better than intubation and will get her next jab when she knows she has a few days with nothing major happening. She doesnāt have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and is in Canada.
Oh @nelletap sorry about your reaction and very interesting that your sister, who is in Canada, had a similar reaction.
Take lots of special care of yourself.
Thankyou for your concern - Iām doing ok at the moment - i have felt more achy and tired since my first dose of Covid but like alot of people donāt know if itās that or my ET - probably a combination of both - but I was disappointed in the NHS anti viral programme - it seems to me that rare conditions like ET etc are not automatically included - Iām lucky in that I didnāt need it in the end but had I been really poorly I wouldnāt have had the energy to battle to get it- and it concerns me others who do need it arent getting it
