Always check your spam folder

As well as being diagnosed with Polycythaemia vera (PV) after a car crash and having lots of rubbish going on in my private life, I have not had much chance to work and relax with the camera this year.
But I was checking my spam folder today before clearing it and found this:

A great big congratulations @clickinhistory quite an achievement even though you didn’t win, what a world wide Jury.
I would frame it.
At last some good news, you really celebrate.

Good evening @clickinhistory and @Erica, what a marvellous email to stumble upon and I’m glad that it has helped to lift your spirits some after your rough few days of symptoms.

I hope you are still feeling a little lifted and that your symptoms are subsiding now.

Take care, stay safe, be kind to yourself and remember to smile, even though the Colgate contracts seem to have got lost in the post!

My husband and I received an email at the weekend telling us we had inherited $580,000,00 from a relative we just needed to provide our bank account details- we did of course!!! Not… like you we see the funny side.

It’s so frustrating though for some like my elderly parents in law who have fallen foul to similar fraudulent situations twice! One claimed to be Amazon and another Barclays both via the phone !

I think it’s very easy to target those who are elderly or those who are sick and it is very common for scammers to rise this time of year so perhaps a good shout out to all of us on here to be alert - if it sounds to good to be true it probably is - and your bank or building society will never ask you to provide your details over the phone.

Thanks for the heads up @Jules I certainly do not think I am likely to inherit a penny from any relatives!!!

@Jules Have a full spam box of scams, but for once, this was something I had entered just on the off chance and I was lucky enough to make the nominee selection.
Something nice for a change in a year of rose bed manure
