Hard Lump behind Left Ear

So it looks like its a benign lymph node, they looked at the other nearby glands and everything appears normal. So I think for the mean time ill just live with it and move on. However, ill keep an eye on it over time and make sure Its not getting bigger or having strange unexplained symptoms. Well sigh of relief for now. Anyways, hope everyone else gets answers soon!

Hi, I have the same thing. Been about 6 days now as I was hoping it would just go away. It’s no better or worse, just a dull ache down my neck and jawline. I guess I’ll head to the doc after Easter to have it checked out.
Hoping for some further diagnosis from earlier posts

Hi @dallas.telford thanks for posting and I am so glad that you plan to see the doc after Easter.
Perhaps if your symptoms get worse or change then don’t forget about 111 or A&E and your Haematology ward if you have one.

Hi! I’ve had the same bump behind my right ear for as long as I can remember ever since i was a kid and I’m 22 now. I got diagnosed with POTS a few years ago and ever since I started experiencing symptoms, I’ve randomly got a dull pain behind my ears every one in a while. After some anxiety-ridden googling, I’ve found that POTS has a lot of similar symptoms with lymphoma and it’s got me really worried. You mentioned that another poster on this thread probably has nothing to worry about because he doesn’t have any symptoms but I can’t help but think that the POTS could have been a misdiagnosis.

Hi @williams welcome to our forum.
Perhaps you might consider talking to your GP/medical person about your concerns.

Hi @williams,

Welcome to our forum. Sorry to hear that you are worried and having doubts about your original diagnosis. Do you mind me asking how your POTS was diagnosed? Did you ever have an ultra sound or biopsy of your bump? Like Erica suggested, I would encourage you to speak with your GP if you are concerned and discuss your worries about lymphoma with them. Many illness have similar signs and symptoms and google does not help relieve anxiety at times.
Please let us know how you get on and look after yourself.

Take care

@fiona_bloodcanceruk i had no ultrasound or anything. my sister had POTS in high school so they did an EKG and decided that that coupled with the symptoms i had (fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, etc.) meant i had the same issue.
