Great topical words, thanks @Duncan

Yes, I love a bit of glam and glitter and fashion faux pas.

My thoughts are

FILMS - Elton John - Candle in the wind - Elton John FULL HD - Candle In The Wind (The Red Piano, Las Vegas | 2005)

AWARDS - (@Nichola75 you got in first with Queen) - Santana - Santana - Winning (Official Video)

Thank you @Duncan for choosing the words today. I am not a great watcher of films but I remember the film Chariots of Fire had quite an impact on me so the theme from that film would be be my choice.

And for Awards my choice of song is CELEBRATION by Kool and the Gang. Hope someone can post the links for me. Thank you, Willow x

The choices so far are epic. I absolutely love Annie the musical too and was obsessed with it as a kid, watching it daily. I may do that this weekend.

My choices are

Movies: Alien Ant Farm - Movies.

They may not have had many hits but this is a banger. Recently my husband revealed that he once had a wee next to Dryden from Alien Ant Farm. Quite the claim to fame.

Awards: Flaming Lips - Race for the prize

I’ve been lucky enough to see the Flaming Lips a few times and it’s always so much fun with Wayne Coyne rolling across the crowd in a giant hamster ball and giant balloons descending.

Great choice of words @Duncan and some great choices from others.

I watch very little TV or films but here goes with a couple of suggestions

First one I’m sure everyone will recognise by Duran Duran. Girls on Film

Second one a slight stretch on Awards but how about Reward by The Teardrop Explodes

Enjoy

Mine too - it’s great to get some range and new music. Typically I find myself listening to the same radio stations with the same playlists- my kids ask me why I even listen to the radio but I’m on autopilot with it!

Some real classics came out today :man_dancing:t2::woman_dancing::guitar::microphone:

Love a Friday :tada:

Aw one of the (few?) benefits of my time difference with home is that I get to wake up to all these great musical choices!

Your husband also has great taste in music @Nichola75, another Radiohead fan. Will they ever release another album :sob:

Got to laugh @Barry1 as my husband also has a similar claim to fame, except alongside Star Trek’s Mr Sulu at a play in San Francisco :sweat_droplets:

I’m loving these classics like Chariots Of Fire from @Willow and Girls On Film from @DuncanB. A recent joint album came out by 2 favourite musicians of mine and they did a Vangelis cover from the Blade Runner soundtrack you may like: https://youtu.be/v6YXLGMdGXo

Ah Sulu is top tier, that’s a much better claim to fame than the dude from Alien Ant Farm.

I’ve enjoyed listening to everyone’s choices whilst I had my second venesection. Haematocrit has already come down a bit since last week so that’s good. Reckon it’s the biscuits too.

That’s great news about your haematocrit @Barry1! Always a good reason for a treat, I reckon :cookie::doughnut::chocolate_bar:

Oh and it was kind of weird seeing Sulu in real life so I froze and didn’t say anything to him! Always a bit starstruck by famous people
