Sorry @Erica. I stole your choice by Dusty Springfield of WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND. I must pay better attention, but it shows great minds think alike. I only knew of the Noel Harrison version. Willow X
Why’s a bit of stealing between friends!
@Willow @Rammie18 @BobK99 @SP7 @Nichola75 @ChrisCKW It just shows that great minds think alike, but also the variety of songs chosen opens my mind so much.
OK. I’m trekking down to the Royal Marsden again tomorrow (it was OK when it was once a year, but now it’s every six weeks…). I’m havering about going back to my choir - all double-jabbed, tested twice weekly, sanitised, ventilated, masked etc. On the one hand I’m CEV, on the other I’m more of an Eeyore than a Tigger, so I can get hard to live with when I’m cooped up.
Oh @BobK99 I find hospital appointments so wearing.
It’s a dilemma about your choir, we know your love of music as well, Eeyore.
There was a time just a couple of weeks ago in hospital when I’d have been well names as Pooh to your Eeyore
Xxxx
Different sort of music though. This is my choir last year. (I was waiting for someone to make “Israel” one of the words of the week , but I’ve jumped the gun.)
Oh, @BobK99 so, so beautiful, thanks so much.
Hello @BobK99. Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful piece of music performed by your choir. It is amazing and all the more impressive considering it was done digitally. You should all be very proud of yourselves! Warm wishes. Willow
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing x
ELO - Telephone line
Sugababes Round Round
Can’t work out how to put link on
Hi @Summertime putting links on is beyond me too, who cares, great choices.
Hello Everyone, I thought it was about time I gave it a go at choosing the words this Friday. The words are WALK and RUN and my songs are I WOULD WALK 500 MILES by The Proclaimers and RUN by Leona Lewis. I look forward to hearing other people’s choices. Happy Friday! Warm wishes, Willow (Hope these words haven’t been used before!!)
Great words thanks so much @Willow
WALK - Johnny Cash - I walk the line
RUN - Bruce Springsteen - Born to run
Oh, @Nichola75 You’ll never walk alone and @Willow I would walk 500 miles are real ‘anthems’
Great choices I e been singing along!
Beatles Run for your life
Eric Bibb (not as well known as he should be): Walkin’ Home
(And thank you for the kind words @Erica @Willow @Nichola75 - ‘He watching over Israel’ could have been my entry for WALK at a stretch, as a fellow choir member thought she’d nailed it in her ‘final’ take - but then listened back and found she had sung ‘He walking over Israel’ .)
Oh @Rammie18 absolute classics and I am singing along too
Oh @BobK99 I know that I shouldn’t laugh, but yes, you could have had He watching over Israel for WALK
