Dear Willow - I haven’t been on this site for a while but something prompted me to yesterday and there was your beautiful and meaningful verse, words that have come straight from your heart and those words have been a most precious gift to me, so thank you from my heart. I wish you well and hope that you can take pride and comfort from helping others in such a meaningful way. xx

Thank you @Nichola75 for asking. We have a crisis with our mother this week. She has dementia and is cared for in a Nursing Home. She is very frail with an infection and hardly eating or drinking. My sister and I have decided, with the GP, to keep her out of hospital if possible. I saw her on Wednesday and plan to go again over the weekend. Warm wishes, Willow X

Hello Nichola - For the most part I am doing ok thank you. I struggle with not having contact with my lymphoma team at the hospital as I am now in full remission, and I know how lucky I am! True to say that my lymphoma illness has left me with a legacy of fear of every ache and pain. Unfortunately our G.P. service are not … (and I struggle to find the right word) very supportive perhaps is the right word. I hope you are well yourself and I think we will all feel better when the sunshine arrives and stays! Warmest wishes to all x

Hi @Pat1. I completely understand where you are coming from. I have been on active monitoring for 6 years now and time befween appointments is extending each time I go. I love the regular check ins with the team and dread the day they say it’s the GP, even though I know that’s a positive step!
I’m lucky to have a supportive GP, it must be difficult if yours isn’t.
My consultant always says I’ll know before him if the lymphoma is back so I suppose it’s just a case of us knowing our own bodies and changes. Although, I think that’s a big responsibility for us to take on!

Thank you for asking @Nichola75. Amazingly my mother seems to be improving. We honestly thought we were nearing the end but she is eating better and is more herself. I will be visiting again tomorrow. Wishing you a happy Easter. Warm wishes, Willow X

Hi Nichola75,
I’m doing really well, thanks for asking. It’s lovely to hear from you and much appreciated .
Had my 6 monthly blood tests recently. Was nervous coming up to them as always. Especially as my consultant has said the NHS “has to cut its cloth” and as I’m not looking like needing treatment soon, he discharged me to my GP last autumn. Of course I can see the positives in not needing treatment etc but felt disappointed to not see a specialist anymore (as well as so sad at the state of the NHS and what the heroes working for the NHS are being put through… but that’s another post entirely!). Thankfully 8.5 years in to my Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), I know what to ask for and look out for on blood tests. As well as the fact that I need to book them in, on the first place! Sigh. Anyway, amazingly my test results showed a decreased lymphocyte count and white cell count since last time, which had been quite a decrease on the time before. I’m so pleased, as for the first 7 years, it was just going up and up. Such a relief to see that it really can go down as well as up (I didn’t believe this till I saw it! Despite doctors telling me this over the years!). I hope this is some comfort to others who find it stressful watching their numbers increase.
Hope you too are ok Nichola and thanks again  x
