Hello there dear @Willow. Hard to believe I haven’t had a dog in my life for a year—I knew I was ready again when I started feeling covetous of other people’s pups!

Our currently unnamed friend slept right through the night next to me and had his first morning ablutions in a most scenic spot on our block already! Going to see if he’s up for a stroll to the pet shop later :dog:

And yes @Erica I totally agree about how therapeutic our companions can be. Hopefully we can be like therapy for him too!

Aw, that’s a very cheering story @Duncan. Heat is going down a bit here but still too hot for me, so I’m taking all the cheering up that I can :grinning: Am sure I’m not the only one looking forward to knowing the name you choose for your beautiful new dog. We had a Rufus for many years, he passed in 2018 and I’ve never been able to face getting another pup, but maybe one day. They are so so special :heart_eyes:
